Soke Koyasu Takamichi
January 22n, 1949: Born in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. Real name: Takashi Nakamura
In 1967 (18-year-old): Entered the main Soryu Karate-Do Dojo, “総流館 (SoRyuKan). Acquired a first Dan in Soryu Karate.
In 1968: Entered a Karate club of Nihon University. Acquired an Assistant teacher of Soryu Karate-Do
In 1969: Created a Karate club, and took up a post of the first captain. Got the champion in Kumite in the Nagasaki Prefecture Karate-Do Competition. Got the third place in Tameshiwari (the art of breaking objects).
In 1970 (21-year-old): Placed in the top 8 in Kumite in the All Japan Karate-Do Competition.
In 1971: Moved to the United States as a Karate instructor, and taught Karate at Hawaii university and California university. Acquired a 3th Dan in Soryu Karate.
In 2000: Opened “総士館 (SoShiKan),” Kasuga branch of the Soryu Karate-Do.
In 2003: Acquired a grand master certificate, and given “小安孝道 (Takamichi Koyasu)” as a martial art name.
In 2004: Took up a post of the supreme adviser of the New All Karate-Do association.
In 2006: Moved to Saga-Sho, Saga Prefecture
In 2007: Acquired a 7th Dan in Soryu Karate
In 2008 (59-year-old): Acquired a grand master supervision.
In 2011: (62-year-old): Acquired the Title, a Shihantoku (Chief Grandmaster) in Soryu Karate
In 2014: Acquired a 10th Dan in Soryu Karate
In 2016: Succeeded Soke and became the 3rd generation Soke in keeping with the intention of the 2nd generation Soke, Emiko Koyasu (died in 2017) and the acceptation from the board of directors, which has come down to the present.

Frank Selvera has been training Karate-Do since 1972.
In 1972: Began my American Soryu Karatedo experience with Steve Besa.
In 1986: Continued my American Soryu Karatedo experience with Paul S. Chapa, Jr.
In 1989: United States Karate Championships in Dallas, Texas Kumite Champion. Head referee was the then United States best womens fighter, Ms. Linda Denley.
In 1990: Texas AOK (Amateur Organization of Karate) Kata and Kumite Champion with Certification signed by the then Texas Governor Ann Richards.
In 1994: National Black Belt League Champion: Texas Cowboy Conference
In 1995: Okinawin/ Japanese Kata Champion
In 2015, August: Joined Soryu Karate-Do Association and opened a Soryu Shibu Dojo, SoShuKan (総修館) in Elroy, Texas
In 2017: Acquired a 5th Dan in Soryu Karate
In 2018: Acquired a Shihan Title in Soryu Karate
In 2019: Acquired a 6th Dan in Soryu Karate

In 2018: Acquired a 5th Dan in Soryu Karate
In 1972: Entered the American Soryu Karate Dojo in Austin, Texas under Steven Besa. In 1981 to 1986 studied Kajukembo at Southwest Texas State University under Sifu, Dan Baker.
In 1986: continued my American Soryu Karate experience with Paul S Capa Jr.
In 1989: United States Karate Championships in Dallas, Texas Kumite finalist.
From 1988 to current date AOK (Amatuer Organization of Karate) top three in Kata and kumite many certificates signed by dignitaries.
In 1993: National Blackbelt League runner up champion in Cowboy Conference.
In 1995: Rank #1 in various NBL Conferences as Heavyweight Kumite. Qualifying and competing at World Championships year in year out.
In 1996: started up the Colorado River Karate Championships in Austin, Texas and eventually moved it to Brady, Texas. This event has promoted Soryu Karate throughout the state of Texas. Active member and producer of The AOK to date.
In 2015: August joined Soryu Karatedo Association and converted American Soryu Karate-Doh Dojo to Soryu Shibu Dojo, Soshinkan in Brady, Texas.
In 2018: Aquired 5th Dan in Soryu Karate.
